Meet Our Founder
Founder of Kapila Pashu Aahar—a vision born from the soil, shaped by trust, and driven by results
Our founder, Mr. Surendra Shivhare, grew up in an impoverished region of Bundelkhand, where he witnessed firsthand the struggles of farmers and the lack of nutrient-rich cattle feed. At the time, issues like short cattle lifespans, poor reproductive cycles, and low milk production were widespread. Determined to make a difference, he pursued a degree in animal husbandry from Kanpur University (DAV College) and, in 1991, took a loan of ₹27 lakh to establish Kamdhenu Cattle Feeds Pvt Ltd. The company began with a manual plant in Bharua Sumerpur, Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh) and a modest production capacity of 50 MT per day.
Over the years, he built the business from the ground up by educating farmers on the benefits of complete nutritional feed. As awareness grew, so did demand from farmers and dairy owners, driving the company’s expansion. With his unwavering commitment to the philosophy of “Quality First,” he transformed Kapila Pashu Aahar into an industry leader.

The Journey of Kapila: Milestones Achieved
1991
With a vision to revolutionize cattle nutrition, we laid the foundation of our first manufacturing unit in Bharua Sumerpur (Hamirpur), Uttar Pradesh. This marked the beginning of our journey to produce the best quality cattle feed.
Production commenced at a modest manual plant with a capacity of 50 tons per day. It was a small but determined step toward making a difference in the lives of cattle and dairy farmers.
1992
1997
Driven by growth and ambition, we relocated our factory to Tatiyaganj, Kanpur. The new facility continued with a 50-ton-per-day production capacity, setting the stage for further expansion.
Encouraged by the positive response from our customers, we expanded our operations. A second manual plant was established in Tatiyaganj, doubling our production capacity to 100 tons per day.
1999
2002
Adapting to advancements in technology and meeting rising demand, we installed our first automatic manufacturing unit in Tatiyaganj. This state-of-the-art facility increased our production capacity to 200 tons per day, a significant leap forward.
Riding the wave of success, we launched another automatic unit with a capacity of 500 tons per day in Rania, Uttar Pradesh. This milestone marked our emergence as a major player in the cattle feed industry.
2006
2013
Our relentless pursuit of excellence led to the establishment of yet another 500-ton-per-day automatic plant in Rania. This expansion further cemented our position as an industry leader, with a total manufacturing capacity of 1000MT per day
We took innovation to the next level by installing our first solvent plant with a capacity of 400 tons per day. This facility allowed us to produce high-quality De-Oiled Rice Bran (DORB) and rice bran oil both vital ingredients for cattle feed, ensuring both quality and affordability.

2015
Building on the success of the solvent plant, we inaugurated a new 500-ton-capacity manufacturing unit. This milestone underscored our commitment to growth, quality, and innovation with a total production capacity of 1500 MT per day.
Kamdhenu founded Dhenu Feed Supplements LLP after seeing the necessity of veterinary supplements and the significance of different vitamins and minerals in cattle. The company produces a variety of mineral mixes, liquid calcium, boluses, and other syrups in-house.
2019
2023
In response to the growing demand for Kapila and a well-established network of more than 500 distributors, sub dealers, retailers, and dairy owners, we built a fully automated 1000MT/day plant in Raniya. With a total production capacity of 3000MT/day, we are currently the market leader.
On 31st May, a significant milestone was achieved with the launch of a new 600TPD solvent plant for processing Rice Bran, Mustard, and Soya. This expansion reduces market dependency, strengthens quality control, and adds stability in raw material sourcing. Since the establishment of the initial 300TPD solvent unit in 2014, the focus has remained on using 100% organic ingredients. With the addition of Kamad Solvex, the total solvent processing capacity now stands at 900 TPD—ensuring cost-effective, high-quality cattle feed for farmers.
